Covenant Retreat, May 1-2

Our next Covenant retreat is May 1-2. Join us beginning at 6pm on Friday night for a light dinner.

Our retreats are a sacred time of prayer, relaxation, and contemplation. We pray together, eat together, talk together, sit in silence together. At this retreat, we will be looking at St. Francis and his Rule of Life, and wondering what a rule of life might mean for us non-monastics. On Saturday morning, we will have a variety of options for participants to choose from, including an art station, a journaling station, and a silence station.

Are retreats are free. All you need to do is RSVP to Kyndall.

Summer Intern Applications

We are currently accepting applications for a two-month internship during the summer of 2014.  As a faith community, this will be our first experience sponsoring an intern, and in so doing we hope to craft a meaningful experience by providing an intern with helpful interaction regarding their work and partnering them with both a support team and a mentor.

Covenant describes itself as a contemplative Christian community, and we are indeed on that journey. We are a small church with one pastor, Kyndall Rothaus, and we are looking for someone to sojourn alongside us this summer.

Applicants should be either in seminary or nearing their undergraduate graduation and preparing to enter seminary.  The internship will involve assisting the pastor in a variety of ministry related activities, such as worship planning, children’s programming, providing creative input, and completing administrative tasks, but the role will also be shaped to fit some of the intern’s own ministry interests.  A modest stipend and housing will be provided. Applicants should send a résumé with a cover letter to by April 5, 2014.
